Short URL
The Short URL functionality in CPV Lab | CPV One – was designed to help you create clean, professional-looking acking links with ease.
With this update, you can:
- Add a custom slug to your tracking URL
- Use your tracking domain followed by a simple, readable path
- Create links that are shorter, more user-friendly, and easier to share
Why Use Short URLs?
Short URLs make your tracking links:
- Easier to manage – especially when sharing on social media, email, or ads
- More trustworthy and clickable – clean URLs look better to users
- SEO and branding-friendly – your tracking domain stays front and center
How to setup the Short URL
- Go to the campaign setup page,
- Scroll to the "Links & Pixels" section
- Above the "Campaign URL" (which is your tracking link) you will have the option to choose Short URL
- Select the toggle to have "Short URL" selected
- Add your short text in the Slug field
- The tracking link (campaign URL) will be replaced with the new value
- If your traffic source is also sending parameters, then the parameters will be automatically appended to the tracking link.
- Click on Save Campaign button to save the changes
- Use the "Campaign Short URL" as your final tracking link to send traffic to
How to use the Short URL
The Short URL is used to have shorter and nicer links for your ads.
- Copy the "Campaign Short URL" provided for your campaign
- Place the short URL on your social media, paid campaign with your traffic source.
- This is the link where your visitor will go to.
When linking directly to the offer
When you don't use any prelander in your campaign, then the short tracking link will look something like this:
